Bastrop Wilderness Ridge Fire
1491 acres. 20 businesses. 26 homes.
In just one short week, these were destroyed by the Wilderness Ridge Fire. Despite the best efforts of volunteer crews and state agencies, the wildfire blazed and spread, causing substantial damage.
Nearly 3 years later, we are still fighting to rebuild, but we can’t do it alone.
We are a group of attorneys representing the residents of Bastrop County whose homes, businesses, and land were consumed by the fire.
Together, we’re working toward a simple goal: recover the funds needed to restore the Lost Pines area to its former beauty and help each other rebuild what has been lost.
The Wilderness Ridge Fire was caused by power lines owned by the Bluebonnet Electrical Cooperative. Sparks from the power line ignited nearby vegetation, leading to a blaze that claimed nearly 1500 acres of pristine land.
We believe it’s only fair that Bluebonnet take responsibility for the damage and help the community rebuild.
